CA Foundation 60-Day Study Plan
Sixty days demands triage: 35 days of fast-track study prioritised by weightage, 15 days of revision driven by chapter tests, and 10 days of mocks. This plan cuts low-yield rabbit holes and front-loads the two objective papers where accuracy converts directly into marks.
Who it's for: Late starters and repeaters who have two months to the attempt. Assumes coaching classes or one full reading is already done for at least two subjects.

The schedule
Accounting + Quantitative Aptitude sprint
Alternate days between them. In QA, master the high-frequency chapters first: ratios, time value of money, probability, and the full Logical Reasoning section — LR is the highest ROI marks in the exam.
Business Laws + Business Economics sprint
Law: focus on Contract Act and Companies Act chapters which dominate the paper. Economics: demand-supply, national income and money chapters first. Daily 30-MCQ drills continue for Papers 3–4.
Revision with chapter-wise scoring
Two subjects a day. Every chapter closes with a timed MCQ set; scores below 60% queue the chapter for a second pass in the final week buffer slots.
Mock marathon
Five full mocks minimum, alternate days, 2 PM slot, from past papers. Non-mock days: error-log clearing only. Sleep is part of the plan — no all-nighters in the last week.
A typical day
| Morning · 4 hrs | Primary subject of the day (deep work) |
| Afternoon · 3 hrs | Secondary subject |
| Evening · 2 hrs | MCQ drills + error log |
| Night · 30 min | Next-day planning + formula flashcards |
Rules that keep the plan alive
- Weightage first: chapters with 8+ mark history get priority; 2-mark curiosities get cut.
- No new study material after day 35 — more sources is slower, not safer.
- Guessing costs 0.25 in Papers 3–4: skip questions below 50% confidence.
- If a chapter resists after two passes, cap it and bank marks elsewhere — 40/50 criteria reward breadth over perfection.

Talk to usCan I clear CA Foundation with 60 days of preparation?
It is demanding but realistic if you can commit 8–10 hours daily and prioritise by weightage. Repeaters and students with coaching already done are best placed for a 60-day sprint.
Which chapters give the most marks per hour of study?
Logical Reasoning in Paper 3, Contract Act in Paper 2, and the accounting-process plus final-accounts chapters in Paper 1 historically offer the best marks-to-effort ratio.
Should I skip mock tests to cover more syllabus?
No. Marks are lost to exam temperament more than to uncovered syllabus. Five timed mocks are non-negotiable even in a 60-day plan.
