CA Intermediate 90-Day Single Group Plan
One group in 90 days runs on a 55-20-15 split: fifty-five days for first study of three papers, twenty days of revision with chapter tests, fifteen days of mocks. Every day touches one practical and one theory subject; the 30-mark objective portion of each paper gets a nightly drill.
Who it's for: Students targeting one group of CA Intermediate in the next attempt — often working alongside articleship registration formalities or a repeat attempt on a single group.

The schedule
Papers 1 & 2 of the group (first pass)
The practical paper takes the morning block daily; the theory paper takes the afternoon. Close each practical chapter with ICAI illustrations solved unseen; close each theory chapter with a memory dump of sections/SA numbers.
Paper 3 + weak-chapter second pass
Third paper takes the morning block. Afternoons alternate between finishing its theory and re-doing flagged chapters from the first month.
Full revision
All three papers in parallel — one chapter per paper per day, each closed with a timed test. Build the one-page-per-chapter sheet you will use in the exam week.
Mocks + error log
Two mocks per paper on alternate days in the 2 PM slot. Between mocks: error-log clearing and speed-revision of the one-page sheets. Nothing new after day 80.
A typical day
| Morning · 3.5 hrs | Practical / computation-heavy paper |
| Afternoon · 2.5 hrs | Theory paper with writing practice |
| Evening · 1.5 hrs | MCQ drill for the objective 30 marks |
| Night · 30 min | Error log + formula flashcards |
Rules that keep the plan alive
- Solve ICAI study material questions unseen before touching any other question bank.
- Latest RTP + last four attempts' papers are mandatory; older material is optional.
- Exemption strategy: one paper at 60+ protects your next attempt — pick your strongest paper and over-invest deliberately.
- Track hours honestly; a 90-day plan fails silently through 5-hour days recorded as 8.

Talk to usWhich group of CA Intermediate should I attempt first?
Group I (Advanced Accounting, Corporate & Other Laws, Taxation) is the common first choice since its subjects flow from Foundation. Choose Group II first only if Costing and FM are personal strengths.
What is the exemption rule in CA Intermediate?
Scoring 60 or more in a paper while appearing for all papers of a group earns an exemption in that paper for the next three attempts, provided you scored at least 40 in the others of that group in that sitting per current ICAI rules.
Can I prepare for one group while doing articleship?
Under the current scheme, articleship begins after clearing both groups, so most single-group aspirants are full-time students — which is exactly the 7–8 hour daily budget this plan assumes.
