Which accounting topics carry the most MCQ weight?

Accounting standards, depreciation and asset accounting, partnership and company accounts, and the treatment of provisions and reserves come up in nearly every attempt. Secure these before spreading effort thinner.

How do I avoid the capital-versus-revenue trap?

It is the single most repeated examiner observation. For every item ask whether the benefit extends beyond the current period — if it does, it is capital. Practising this consciously on MCQs makes it automatic in the descriptive paper.

Should I learn the treatment under AS or Ind AS?

Follow your paper. Foundation and Intermediate accounting are AS-based, while Final Financial Reporting is Ind AS-based. Where a definition differs between frameworks, learn the one your paper examines and note why the other differs.

How much of the accounting paper is theory?

A meaningful share — definitions, distinctions and treatment notes. These are the fastest marks available if your terminology is precise, so never skip the theory MCQs in favour of only numericals.

Why do I get the concept right but the final figure wrong?

Usually a sequencing or adjustment error rather than a conceptual one. Work each question in the standard format — the format itself prevents omissions, which is why examiners reward it.

What does the Accounting quiz cover?

This quiz draws on CA Intermediate Accounting questions from previous ICAI papers, RTPs and MTPs, concentrating on recognition and measurement rules, journal-entry logic, and the preparation of final accounts. Every reload serves a fresh selection, so you can drill the same topic repeatedly without repeating the same set.

How many Accounting questions will I get in one attempt?

Ten questions per attempt, which most students finish in eight to twelve minutes. Each answer is revealed immediately with an explanation, so you correct a misunderstanding while the question is still fresh.

Is this quiz suitable for CA Intermediate specifically?

Yes. The questions are filtered to the Intermediate syllabus for Accounting, so the depth matches what your paper actually demands rather than a general treatment of the subject.

Do I need to finish the Accounting syllabus before attempting this?

No. Attempting a quiz on a partly covered subject is a useful diagnostic — it shows which chapters are secure and which need attention. Just read the explanations for topics you have not studied yet rather than guessing repeatedly.

How should I track my progress in Accounting?

Attempt short sets regularly and watch your accuracy per topic rather than your overall score. A topic sitting below sixty per cent needs concept revision; one between sixty and seventy-five usually needs more application practice.
