Topic quizzes
Subject-wise sets drawn from the same past-paper MCQs used on Public MCQ. Each quiz links back to FAQs, formulas, and knowledge-base articles.
How it works
Topic quizzes are the fastest way to find out whether a chapter actually stuck. Every question comes from previous ICAI papers, RTPs and MTPs, so the phrasing and the distractors match the real exam rather than generic practice material — and you get the explanation the moment you answer.
Pick a level and subject
Choose your CA level, then the paper you want to drill. Questions are filtered to that syllabus.
Answer ten questions
A standard set takes eight to twelve minutes — short enough to fit between study blocks.
Read the explanation
Every answer is revealed immediately with the reasoning, so a misunderstanding gets corrected on the spot.
Reload for a fresh set
Each attempt draws new questions from the bank, so you can drill the same topic repeatedly.

Talk to usWhat exactly is a topic quiz on Kartavvya?
Each topic quiz is a timed set of multiple-choice questions drawn from the same past-paper MCQ bank used across the platform, filtered to one subject and level. You answer, see the correct option immediately, and read the explanation before moving on.
Are these questions from actual ICAI papers?
Yes. The question bank is built from previous ICAI examination papers, RTPs and MTPs. That means the phrasing, the distractor style and the difficulty match what you will face in the real exam rather than generic practice questions.
Do I need an account to attempt a quiz?
No. You can open any topic quiz and start answering straight away. Creating a free account only matters if you want your attempts, streaks and weak-topic analytics saved across sessions.
How many questions does each quiz contain?
A standard topic quiz serves ten questions per attempt, which takes most students eight to twelve minutes. Reloading the quiz draws a fresh selection, so you can keep drilling the same topic without repeating the same set.
Which levels and subjects are covered?
All three levels are covered — Foundation, Intermediate and Final — across the core papers of each. Pick your level first, then the subject you want to drill.
Should I attempt quizzes before or after studying a chapter?
Both, for different reasons. A quiz before you study tells you what you already know and sets your attention; a quiz after you study confirms whether the concepts actually stuck. The second attempt is where most of the learning happens.
How is a quiz different from a mock test?
A quiz drills one topic in a few minutes with instant feedback after each question. A mock paper runs the full three hours in ICAI's paper structure and reports at the end. Use quizzes during learning, mocks during the final stretch.
What should I do with the questions I get wrong?
Classify each mistake as a knowledge gap, a silly error, or a misreading of the question — the fix differs for each. Read the explanation, then return to that topic after 24 hours and again after a week.
Is negative marking applied in these quizzes?
Practice quizzes do not apply negative marking, so you can attempt freely and learn from the explanations. When you sit a full mock paper, ICAI's actual marking scheme for your paper is applied.
How often should I be attempting MCQs during preparation?
Short daily sets beat occasional long sessions. Ten to thirty questions a day across the topics you are currently studying is enough to build recall speed, and it compounds far better than a weekend marathon.
