Which financial management topics are most examinable?

Capital budgeting techniques, cost of capital and WACC, leverage analysis, and working capital management carry the bulk of the marks and appear in almost every attempt.

NPV and IRR conflict — which do I choose?

NPV, for mutually exclusive projects. It measures absolute wealth addition and assumes a more realistic reinvestment rate. State the conflict and the reason in your answer, because the reasoning carries the marks.

Should WACC use book value or market value weights?

Market value weights, unless the question explicitly directs otherwise. Using book values when market values are available is one of the most frequently penalised errors in this paper.

How do I keep the three leverages straight?

Operating leverage comes from fixed operating costs, financial leverage from fixed financial costs, and combined leverage multiplies the two. Anchor each to its source of fixed cost and the confusion disappears.

How should depreciation be treated in cash flow questions?

Consistently — it is a non-cash charge, so add it back after using it for the tax shield. Inconsistent treatment between years is a silent source of wrong answers in capital budgeting.

What does the Financial Management quiz cover?

This quiz draws on CA Intermediate Financial Management questions from previous ICAI papers, RTPs and MTPs, concentrating on capital budgeting, cost of capital, capital structure, leverage and working capital decisions. Every reload serves a fresh selection, so you can drill the same topic repeatedly without repeating the same set.

How many Financial Management questions will I get in one attempt?

Ten questions per attempt, which most students finish in eight to twelve minutes. Each answer is revealed immediately with an explanation, so you correct a misunderstanding while the question is still fresh.

Is this quiz suitable for CA Intermediate specifically?

Yes. The questions are filtered to the Intermediate syllabus for Financial Management, so the depth matches what your paper actually demands rather than a general treatment of the subject.

Do I need to finish the Financial Management syllabus before attempting this?

No. Attempting a quiz on a partly covered subject is a useful diagnostic — it shows which chapters are secure and which need attention. Just read the explanations for topics you have not studied yet rather than guessing repeatedly.

How should I track my progress in Financial Management?

Attempt short sets regularly and watch your accuracy per topic rather than your overall score. A topic sitting below sixty per cent needs concept revision; one between sixty and seventy-five usually needs more application practice.
