Watch for the declaration announcement
ICAI announces the result date in advance on its official results site. Registration for result-by-email is available and avoids server congestion on the day.

Check using your roll number and PIN
Results are published on the official ICAI results portal. Keep your roll number and registration details ready — the site is heavily loaded in the first hours.

Read the passing criteria correctly
You need the prescribed minimum in each paper and the prescribed aggregate across the group. Failing either condition means the group is not cleared, however strong the other papers.

Decide on verification or the next attempt
If the result is close, verification of answer books is available within a prescribed window. Otherwise, plan the next attempt around your error log rather than restarting the syllabus.

What usually goes wrong
- Clearing the aggregate but missing the per-paper minimum in one subject
- Missing the verification application window because it is short

What is a paper exemption?
Securing the prescribed high score in an individual paper without clearing the group can earn an exemption in that paper for a limited number of subsequent attempts, subject to the conditions notified.
Is verification of answer books worth applying for?
It is worth considering when your score is close to the threshold. Verification checks totalling and whether any answer went unmarked; it is not a re-evaluation of quality.
