Step by step

Watch for the announcement
ICAI announces the exam form window well before each session. The window is firm — late submission attracts a fee or is not accepted at all.

Complete the form on the portal
Select your level, the group or groups you intend to attempt, your exam centre preference and your medium of answering. Verify every field before submitting.

Pay the examination fee
Fees vary by level and by the number of groups. Pay online and save both the payment confirmation and the submitted form as PDF.
- 04
Use the correction window if needed
ICAI opens a short correction window after the form closes. This is your only opportunity to fix centre, medium or group errors, so check your submitted form immediately.

- Registration number and SSP login credentials
- Photograph and signature matching your registration record
- Online payment method for the examination fee
- Details of the group or groups you intend to attempt

- Selecting the wrong group and discovering it after the correction window closes

Can I change my exam centre after submitting?
Only during the correction window that ICAI opens after the form closes. Once that window shuts, the centre is generally final for that attempt.
Can I answer in Hindi?
ICAI permits the choice of medium for prescribed papers. Select the medium you have actually prepared in — the choice is recorded from your form and applies to the whole attempt.
